MKU and Equip sign an MOA on Facilities and HR
Equip Africa Institute (Equip) and Mount Kenya University (MKU) have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that will see Equip Africa Institute leverage MKU’s extensive state-of-the-art facilities, experienced human resources, and rich educational heritage to deliver unparalleled training in the Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector.
The MOA will see Equip Africa operate within all Mount Kenya University campuses in the region with a rich offering of market driven competence-based Diploma, Certificate and Artisan certificate courses under TVET.
Mount Kenya University has heavily invested in ultra-modern learning and training facilities placing it miles ahead of its peers. Among the top facilities that will give Equip leverage in TVET training are office space, library, laboratories, workshops, ICT infrastructure, transport, Management Information Systems, accommodation, health facilities, and recreational facilities.
Equip Africa will also tap into the University’s highly trained and experienced administrative staff and faculty to deliver exceptional training to learners under Equip Africa. The tutors have already undergone extensive training on delivery and assessment of Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET).
Additionally, the Institute will greatly benefit from the University’s rich educational heritage having excelled as the leader in quality higher education provision in the region.
