Faculty of EngineeringThis Diploma in Electrical Installation course is designed to equip electrical technicians with the competencies required to plan, install, manage sites, test and commission, and maintain and repair different types of electrical installations. The activities involved include the installation types ranging from domestic to commercial to industrial to horticultural to agricultural electrical installations and can include generator, motor, water boiling, solar, HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning), IBMS (Integrated Building Management System), and security.
Entry Requirements
a) Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E.) with a minimum mean grade of C (Minus)
Or
b) Certificate in Electrical Installation course
Or
c) Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
Assessment
The course will be assessed at two levels: internally and externally. Internal assessment is continuous and is conducted by the trainer who is monitored by an internal accredited verifier while external assessment is the responsibility of TVET CDACC.
Certification
On successful completion of all units of learning, a trainee will be awarded a Diploma in Electrical Installation issued by TVET CDACC in conjunction with Equip Africa Institute.
