Faculty of Social SciencesThe Certificate in Security Management comprises of competencies required to effectively perform security administrative duties, management of physical security, management of people security and safety, organizational security audit, management of institutional crime, management of security investigation, management of security ICT, management of security intelligence, management of institutional security emergencies, coordination of security enforcement and compliance, management of security of critical infrastructure, and management of security threats on terrorism.
Entry Requirements
a) Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E.) with a minimum mean grade of D (plain)
Or
b) Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
Assessment
The course will be assessed at two levels: internally and externally. Internal assessment is continuous and is conducted by the trainer who is monitored by an internal accredited verifier while external assessment is the responsibility of TVET CDACC.
Certification
On successful completion of all units of learning, a trainee will be awarded a Certificate in Security Management issued by TVET CDACC in conjunction with Equip Africa Institute.
